Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Give yourself a pat on the back. I mean it. Congradulate yourself if you got even half of your action plan done today. No matter what it is you want to get done, at this time of year it will take more time so please do allow for it.

There definitly is more traffic and there are longer lines in the stores. Now is a good time to set your watch ahead about ten minutes. Get the most important things you have to do done first. I know that is nothing new it is just time to say it again. You will never regret missing some things in life, but time with family and friends is not one of them.

If someone is on your mind – for gosh sakes call them or better yet go see them.

If you are conducting webinars do I ever have a time saver for you. Launching on Dec 3, the easiest way to turn power point presentations into presentations made for the web. Check this one out.

Clearing the Way

My job as a land surveyor took me to a golf course
that was expanding from 9 holes to 18 holes.
Using a machete to clear thick brush in an area I was
mapping, I came upon a golf club that an irate player
must have tossed away. It was in good condition,
so I picked it up and continued on.
When I broke out of the brush onto a putting green,
two golfers stared at me in awe. I had a machete in
one hand, a golf club in the other, and behind me
was a clear-cut swath leading out of the woods.

“There,” said one of the golfers, “is a guy who hates
to lose his ball!”

Stay Motivated

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Isn’t Christmas time wonderful? I love this time of year. It
just seems that people tend to be a little more friendly and
way more forgiving. Yea sure!

I heard on the news yesterday that some Salvation Army
buckets were stolen and there are some that would use
them for their own gain.

Christmas time seems to bring out the best and yes the worst
in people. Coming from a medical background I can also tell you
that for many it is one of the most difficult times to get through.

Pain may sometimes be the reason to change something.
Failing at something maymake us realize that we need to study.
Debts remind us of our inability to create a new source of income.
Being humiliated gives might just be the ‘push’ to speak up and fight
for ourselves It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story
that makes us see that our life isn’t so bad after all.

All it might take is a great movie, or an inspiring book
that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation
we need to keep on keeping on..

With all the countless negativities the world we can very easily keep
ourselves and others motivated and sometimes all it takes is a great
big smile.

Getting Forgetful

The man looked a little worried when the doctor came in to
administer his annual physical, so the first thing the doctor
did was to ask whether anything was troubling him.

“Well, to tell the truth, Doc, yes,” answered the patient.
“You see, I seem to be getting forgetful. No, it’s actually
worse than that. I’m never sure I can remember where I put
the car, or whether I answered a letter, or where I’m going,
or what it is I’m going to do once I get there — if I get there.
So, I really need your help. What can I do?”

The doctor mused for a moment, then answered in his kindest
tones, “Pay me in advance.”

Surprises

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

HaHa, thought I was going to give you another count down
day.

How to you handle surprises? Yesterday, I got stopped by a
patrol man. He smiled and said, “the reason I stopped you
ma’am because there isn’t a sticker on your license plate.”
He took my information and confirmed that I had in fact paid
for it. So today I had to take a couple hours out of an
already busy day to go replace a sticker on my plate. What a
thing to be stolen – a sticker off a plate.

You of course know what a trip to the DMV can be like so I
took along some reading material and a note pad preparing
for a lengthy ordeal, but I wasn’t there more than about
twenty minutes. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
It gets me through every time.

Time is probably our most valuable commodoty. There is only
so much of it. Use it wisely because it can never be
replaced. The hours gone are just that – gone.

Does that mean you have to work every minute? No it does not
mean that at all. To me it means, buying more time to play.
It means getting done what has to be done quicker and more
efficiently so that I have the time to do those things that
are more important like playing with the grandkids.

Cinnamon Rolls

At breakfast one day, I eagerly waited for my husband to
comment on my first attempt at homemade cinnamon rolls.

After several minutes with no reaction, I asked, “If I baked
these commercially, how much do you think I could get for
one of them?”

Without looking up from his paper my husband replied, “About
10 years.”

Tips and Techniques

Christmas cards don’t have to be a chore. My cards are hand
made. I so enjoy doing them it is a real pleasure.

If you are working in a database, you can print a card list
complete with addresses to quickly hand address your cards.
This is one time it is important to hand write the
envelopes, but if you have a printer that will print on the
envelope itself use a fancy script font to print them just
don’t use a sticker.

Turn on some Christmas music and if you like make a good cup
of hot chocolate with a bit of coconut rum to put you in the
Christmas mood and you will be amazed at how fast they are
done and ready to get in the mail.

Buyer Beware

11-27
Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

There are 28 days until Christmas and all through the house …
The decorations are coming out of mothballs. Lights have to be
checked to see if they are all working. In many parts of the US
it may be wise to put up an artificial tree just because it has
been such a dry year.

Many people are beginning to avoid the long lines at the store or
mall, not because they started earlier, but more because more
people are doing their Christmas shopping online.

Now is the time to shop where you are familiar and always look
for the secure site logo. Now is the time to watch for pfishing
and scams on the Internet. If you didn’t go looking for it I
would very much warn “buyer beware”. Already in the past week,
the numbers of spam e-mail has tripled. in my own e-mail boxes.
Please be sure you are running a virus scanner on all of your
incoming e-mail.

PayPal is still a good choice for both the buyer and the seller
since your personal information is not divulged. Your privacy is
protected. PayPal is also one of those good companies that gets
copied by the scam artists. Any time you get an e-mail that looks
fishy do mail it to the PayPal team. Never click on a link in the
e-mail, but go directly to your account. Remember that PayPal
will never ask for personal information via an e-mail.

Save all your receipts in the original form, print them out just
in case.

Secret Present

Elizabeth, 3, was helping her mother Melinda wrap
a present for her father. While wrapping, Melinda
told Elizabeth about keeping the present a secret
so it would be a surprise.

After the present was wrapped, Elizabeth proudly
put it under the tree.

When her father asked her if he could shake it and
guess what’s inside, she said, “No, T-shirts don’t
rattle!”

What is my favorite way to unwind after a trying day?

It’s called Hot Cinnamon Latte

1 pot hot dark roast coffee
1 Qt warm milk (I like 2%)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 C vanilla syrup

Mix cinnamon powder and vanilla syrup with the warm milk. Pour
equal amounts into coffee cups to serve.

Checkin’ It Twice

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

The Holidays certainly are my favorite time of year all the way
from Halloween through New Year’s day. One of the things that
will help during this time for sure is good organization. IIf you
are running a home, staying up with family activities and working
a business too.

Even Santa Claus had his list and checked it twice so I am sure
it is wise to follow his example.

Life can get very busy almost too busy at this time of year and
so I am going to dedicate this month to keeping your life
organized and the tips will include applications available to you
to assist.

The first is of course that old time, old tech calendar it seems
everyone has hanging on the wall or the refrigerator. This is a
great place to start family working together. Give each member of
the family a unique color of pen so they can mark “happenings”.
Even little children as young as kindergarten can become
involved. When everyone is involved in family planning it is so
much easier to get everyone’s cooperation.

On your own calendar be it a paper datebook, or your digital
calendar, set aside the family time first. Cross it off as being
busy.

Don’t forget to set aside time to do your shopping. Logistics are
just as
important as the who and the what on your list. Plan out in
advance the route to take even in the store so there is not a lot
of backtracking. It is amazing just how much time you can save
doing this one little thing.

25th Wedding Anniversary

At the banquet of Tom and Susan’s 25th wedding anniversary, Tom
was asked to give his friends a brief account of the benefits of
a marriage of such long duration.

“Tell us, Tom, just what is it you have learned from all those
wonderful years with your wife?”

Tom responded, “Well, I’ve learned that marriage is the best
teacher of all. It teaches you loyalty, forbearance, meekness,
self-restraint, forgiveness — and a great many o! ther qualities
you wouldn’t have needed if you’d stayed single.”

Thought for Today:

“You have to find something that you love enough to be able to
take risks, jump over the hurdles and break through the brick
walls that are always going to be placed in front of you. If you
don’t have that kind of feeling for what it is you are doing,
you’ll stop at the first giant hurdle.” George Lucas Film

Tips and Techniques
What is in a list? The list might include who, what, where, when
and how. Take 10 either first thing in the morning or last thing
at night to write your tasks for the day. I find 7 am to be my
quiet time and write them over my cup of coffee. Find your own
quiet time!

One Day

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

The Countdown to Christmas begins today for many of us. There are 33 days until the big day.

I was alerted to a posting on U-Tube and decided to pass it on. This is great http://www.youtube.com/watch ?v=IAckfn8yiAQ I do hope that you will take the time to give a listen.

I appreciate and respect all of the differences among us. It is those
differences that make us truly unique. Our country has a Christian heritage.

People came to this new world for religious freedom. People came to this world to find their own financial freedom. Those two freedoms are still as coveted as the fountain of youth that even more came to find.

Freedom is not free Justice is not easy. Acceptance is even more difficult, but if we are truly to be free “all men are created equal”

Parrot Joke

A woman went to a pet shop & immediately spotted a large, beautiful parrot.

There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00.

“Why so little,” she asked the pet store owner.

The owner looked at her and said, “Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a house of Prostitution and sometimes it says some pretty vulgar stuff.”

The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have the bird any way. She took it home and hung the bird’s cage up in her living room and waited for it to say something. The bird looked around the room, then at her, and said, “New house, new madam!”

The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then ught “that’s really not so bad.”

Just then her 2 teenage daughters returned from school. The bird looked at them and said, “New house, new madam, new girls.” The girls and the woman were a bit offended but then began to laugh about the situation considering how and where the parrot had been raised.

Moments later, the woman’s husband Keith came home from work.

The bird looked at him and said, “Hi, Keith”.

Thought for Today:

Hi.
I have made a structure, and on the index site created the background and navigation bar as i like them.

Now – how do I transfer this to all the other pages ?

In former versions of NOF this was automaticly done.

:o)ens – Dk

You need to create these in the master border to have them replicated
throughout your site. Assuming, of course, that you use the same master border.

It operates exactly the same as previous versions.

Happy Thanksgiving

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

I hope that you are having a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he’d stuck it out.
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are –
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Rx Question?

A distraught senior citizen phoned her doctor’s office. “Is it true,” she wanted
to know, “that the medication you prescribed has to be taken for the rest of my
life?”

“Yes, I’m afraid so,” the doctor told her.

There was a moment of silence before the senior lady replied, “I’m wondering
then, just how serious is my condition? The prescription is marked
“NO REFILLS’!”

Loading Digital Camera Images

You can use PainNet to access and manage the images from your digital camera,
and you can load pictures directly into the program, however you might find it
better to load the pictures onto the hard drive then access them from there.
Please save the original of your picture always then save the changes made.
I always make a back up copy of pictures on the hard drive onto CD.
