A valuable lesson

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

If you have been following the article this week, then today will
make sense to you, if not go back and read the earlier posts.

This is an important and valuable lesson when you are working
with your target market. Do you know their triggers?

One of the first exercises you should have done when you decided
to build a business was to identify your target market.

Once that target market is identified you then start putting
together your advertising campaigns, right?

Wrong!!

Once your target market is identified you absolutely must put
together a list of triggers. You must know the words, the
pictures to use that will flick the switch. If you don’t do this
first, then all of your advertising campaigns, your WebSite, your
promotional products will all be a shot in the dark.

I have often said that advertising is legal gambling in business,
but you can greatly increase your odds by knowing and using the
trigger words.

Use the trigger words in your headlines.

Use the trigger words in your WebSite description.

Use the trigger words in your keywords.

Those trigger words are going to get your prospect to become a
customer. If your product does in fact solve a problem in his
life you will then become a professional.

Price of Oranges

Mrs. Golden was shopping at a produce stand in her neighborhood.

She approached the vendor and asked, “How much are these
oranges?”

“Two for a quarter,” answered the vendor.

“How much is just one?” she asked.

“Fifteen cents,” answered the vendor.

“Then I’ll take the other one,” said Mrs. Golden.

Thought for Today:

“In the final analysis, the questions of why bad things happen to
good people transmutes itself into some very different questions,
no longer asking why something happened, but asking how we will respond, what we intend to do now that it happened.”

Useful Triggers

ood Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Research and learning how to use emotional triggers is a life
long study for anyone in the sales and marketing arena. I have
seen it called many things like magnetic marketing, or selling
word pictures. The fact of the matter is in sales your job is to
get the emotional response from your prospect that encourages him
the purchase your product or service.

It is your job to find your prospects want either find what he
has that has become a problem. Or find the other side of the
coin, finding the problem then giving him the solution to the
problem. Not a new idea at all, is it?

Emotional response is the key to effective advertising.

Emotional response is the key to great relationships or failing
ones.

Emotional response will start someone on the road to greatness,
or send him into deep dispair.

Emotional response is art.

Emotional response is setting the scene.

Emotional response is negative or positive. What is more
important to understand too is that it can be positive to one
person and totally negative to another.

What makes the difference? Is it the words you use? It is the
design? Does it appeal to what the prospect wants. And that my
friend is the $64,000. question.

One day an employee came in to work with both of his ears

“Well,” the boss said, “that explains one ear, but what about the
other?”

“They called back!”

Emotional Triggers

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Yesterday, I mentioned “triggers.” These are emotional responses to environmental stimuli.

“These are things that will frustrate and upset the best of us. The important point here is to see if they trigger intense, long-lasting reactions with ramifications that make it difficult to remain rational.

If one or more of these emotional triggers affects you, take some
time to sole search or work with a counselor to uncover the root
cause behind your powerful emotional responses to these triggers”
– Joni Rose

Triggers that effect emotional response in the negative are
important to uncover and get under control.

There are also triggers that effect positive emotional response,
like laughing when something is funny.

Triggers are just like turning on a light, when you flick the
switch the light turns on.

It takes a bit of soul searching to find and get the negative
triggers under control. It also takes a bit of should searching
to find the triggers that “turn you on.”

Once you learn the emotional triggers, it becomes easier to
elicit the triggers you want from others both in your written and
verbal communications.

It is vital in any business whether online or off that you deal
with these triggers head-on. Know what they are so you can stop, think and let the emotional response meld into a thought out rational response.

Getting it all together truly is the name of the game.

An Organization is a group of individuals working together. It is
a team developed over time.

Organization is designing an office where there is a place for
everyting and everything is in its place.

Organization is a well planned WebSite that tells and then sells

Organize a system that will automate the sales process from sale, to collection of funds, to delivery, to follow-up and finally to developing that strong organization that will sustain you and

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

For several days now, we have been listing the A- B- Cs of
building an organization. You probably could name several other
things for each of the letters and you really should.

The exercise is a good one.

Go through the letters yourself, write down what first comes to
mind as you say the letter. I can guarantee it will tell you a
lot about where you live on a success scale. Is the immediate
reaction a postitive one or a negative one? Try it to see.

What is there buried in your mind? You know what is on the
surface. You know what you have learned. Postive and negative
thought processes are there but very hidden.

Whether you believe it or not they affect everything you do and
everything you choose not to do. But in the overall scheme of
things they do have some control. How much control depends on how
well you can identify them when they surface.

The positive and negative thought surfaces because of a trigger.
Do you know your triggers?

Don’t let yourself think about what the answer should be, this is
important just say the letter out loud then write down the first
thought. You might be quite surprised.

N is for Networking

Networking means talking to people every chance you get.
Networking means building your own personal web of contacts. The
network becomes your friends list, your Christmas card list, you
birthday card list and more.

It doesn’t matter who you know! What does matter is “who you know
that knows.” When you truly GET the meaning of that statement
your list of possibilities is never ending.

Networking also includes giving more than you hope to get. When
you do that your network grows. Keep thinking what’s in it for me
and others feel that in everything you do. Your network will not
grow.

Happy Father’s Day

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

I do hope all you dad’s out there had a super great Father’s Day!
And the rest of you had a great weekend.

It’s Monday and time for our How To Achieve Your Goals conference
in the Internet Income Lab.

Goals are a very important thing, you have them whether you know
it or not. I can tell you for certain also, if you are not
actively working to achieve your own goals, then you are always
working to help achieve someone else’s.

Last week we talked about lifetime goals, you know those that
preceed with the statement, “before I die I want to…”

If you subscribe to the school of thought that success is the
achievement bit by bit of a worthwhile purpose, this this weeks
conference is a must to attend.

What is the most important step to take in the achievement of any
and all goals?

It is the very first baby step!

Do you know how to tear down the unachievable big goal into bite
sizes? It is in learning how to break it down into baby steps,
then taking action on those steps.

The address is http://www.internetincomelab.com you do have to register
to get the download to the conference room, but membership is
still free.

So now you have your purpose in hand. What are you going to do
with it?

I’ll tell you – plaster it everywhere.

Write it on stickie notes, put the stickie note on the fridge, on
the mirror in the bathroom, on your headboard, on your dashboard
– I mean everywhere.

Read it out loud every time you see it. Every time you feel
yourself doubting what you do, read it very loudly.

Every time you write a project or even your to do list every day
ensure that everything is aligned with your purpose.

I don’t want to sound new agey, or that there is any kind of voo
doo involved with this procedure, but actually you have been
doing this ever since you learned to talk. You repeated words out
loud until they became a part of your vocabulary. You recited the
multiplication tables until you memorized them.

Repeat your purpose in the same way.

Seniors’ Special

My wife Rosie, and I went to breakfast at a
restaurant where the “seniors’ special” was
two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for
$1.99.

“Sounds good,” my wife said. “But I don’t
want the eggs.”

“Then I’ll have to charge you two dollars and
forty-nine cents because you’re ordering a la
carte,” the waitress warned her.

“You mean I’d have to pay for not taking the
eggs?” My wife asked incredulously. “I’ll take
the special.”

“How do you want your eggs?”
“Raw and in the shell,” my wife replied.
She took the two eggs home in her pocket.

There are no goals as important to you as your lifetime goals.
What is it you want to achieve. These goals are always preceeded
with the words, “before I die I want to …” They can cover many

Business
Education

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Why are you doing what you are doing?

I do believe that volumes of books could be written on the
subject of purpose. A life’s purpose has been the subject of
philosophy and philosophers for centruies. It is also a subject
of much debate throughout the centuries.

What am I here for? Why is there life on this planet? Why, why,
why!!

We are born, we live then we die. But, what about the inbetween?
What am I supposed to do with my life?

Funny thing, the answer to that question is one word.

ANYTHING

Yesterday, we took a quick look at lifetime goals, but goals have
no meaning without purpose. Purpose is the reason why you do what
you do.

Your purpose is going to be a selfish one – yes it will be. Why
do I say this?

The mindset of most people today is: “What’s in it for me?”

You, yes you reading this message this morning do whatever you do
because you think, believe or know that there is something in it
for you to gain. You do it out of an opportunity for gain, or
because of fear of loss.

If you don’t believe me at this point, here is a little exercise
for you today. Make a list of everything you do, then next to it
write the purpose, the reason for doing it. Once that list is
complete, then go back look at the reason and highlight what is
in it for you. This is quite an eye opener.

“I said a fire sale, and I meant it,” he replied rather
coldly. “Anyone who doesn’t make a sale gets fired.”
